How do I download fonts from a file onto my MacOS X?

The font files are already on my desktop, how do I get them into my font file/ microsoft word? Thanks so much!

Hi Laura M,

Microsoft uses their own separate fonts, but you might be able to make your fonts available by launching FontBook that's located inside of your Applications folder. FontBook is able to perform all kinds of magic.
