They have finally given us the proof everyone's been wanting about global warming and it's very real. Have you done anything to help fix this? I have here in Canada Smithers BC, will you add to the list and try to help our planet?
Things I have done and do every day now [Started Feb2 2007]:
-I stopped running the hot water when doing dishes [I fill a bowl or sink with hot water for rinsing]
-I turn off the TV when I leave the livingroom to do other things [like playing on my computer]
-I turn lights off that are not necesary to be on.
-I turn the heat down [and in the summer months, Turn brakers off to the heating system,it really works to save on your electical bill]
-I put my computer on 'stand-by' at night before I go to bed. [I'm sleeping and not using it,so why should I add to my electrical bill]
-I use candles at night when watching TV [it's very romatic and/or is like being in a theater]
So; will you help too and try to stop the global warming?
Thank you. :0)

I am sure that you will not like what I have to say, but I will say it anyway. Yes Global warming is real, but not in the sense you mean it. Global Warming is only an issue at all because of the billions of dollars at stake. The destructive view of global warming is blown way out of proportion. It is nothing more than a scare tactic to get money from big companies and governments. I do believe global warming is happening, but it is a natural thing. It has more to do with the sun's activities than man. The leading "experts" were so sure that we were heading into an ice age in the 1970's. This is nothing more than alarmist BS designed to fuel a new industry. It is elitist BS. Look at all the private planes Al Gore has taken all over the world to present his drivel. He could have done the same thing via a web conference and cost a lot less in emissions. They tell you to be green, but I do not see them being green. The only thing I see is them lining their own pockets. Furthermore, MT. St. Helens released more greenhouse gases in 1 eruption than all cars combined since they were invented. I see all these people griping about CO2. Let me let you in on a little secret, NASA has had the tech for DECADES to rid an atmosphere of CO2. Ever seen Apollo 13? Why not just build huge scrubbers if in fact this is the case? Don't get me wrong, I am all for reasonable protections for the enviroment, but this global warming thing is not only unreasonable, it has little basis in actual fact. Scientists disagree about the desructiveness that may or may not occur. Furthermore, the standards in the most recent study by the so called experts were eased so that they could say they thought with most certainty that man causes this.

Sorry, but it is real. Carbon 12 is preferred by plants, so when the ancient plants in fossil fuels give up their signature carbon 12, it alters the carbon 13/carbon 12 ratio. Look at the thousands of cross checks and graphs that document man made emissions which parallel the rise in global warming since the Industrial Revolution. Always remember that the vast majority (almost all) of the heat energy is held in the oceans. so a leveling or decline in annual or even decadal temperatures in no way contradicts global warming (and a temporary cold spell is even a worse tool to use to combat global warming). It's a travesty that the 1300 scientists at the IPCC (from 195 countries) have to put up with this nonsense and abuse. Much of the information they gather and analyze is volunteered by dedicated scientists. These volunteers are in on the hoax also? And by the way, the carbon 12 reference is just one facet of evidence of global warming. There are countless cross checks of ice core analyses, solar irradiance detection, and the list goes on.

Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leaders use it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. This issue is 99% political, and an attempt to make the USA a socialist nation, and eventually communisim. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

Global warming is real, Santa is real, the tooth fairy is real as is the Easter Bunny.

This planet goes through temperature fluctuations. That's the whole story.

If you don't believe me, ask the folks that have frozen to death in the upper Midwest. They will tell you all about global warming. And don't give me that garbage about global warming causing it to get colder. That is global cooling.

And NO, I don't intend to commit suicide to quit breathing so I won't be putting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Good Grief, Mt St. Helen's eruption put out more gases in minutes than man kind can in years.

Go back to the Liberal drawing room and put your tinfoil hat back on. It will protect you from the falling sky.

And BTW, like all other species, man will go extinct someday. He was spawned on this planet, evolved on this planet and will use this planet until that time comes. NEWS FLASH: Man is part of the EcoSystem, yeah really...

I'll bet 70 million years ago there was some little dinosaur called SPAZZ. Spazz was all excited about the big piles of dinosaur poop. Spazz had been convinced that the Big Dinosaurs had to go, they were making so much poop that in 10 years the planet would stink too bad to be habitable.

Spazz: The first time I heard about this nonsense the clock was set to run out in 1970 or 1971. We are still here. They were wrong just like today's nut cases are wrong. It is an agenda, nothing more and nothing less.

No...I am not doing anything. There is still no proof that "global warming" is caused by man. The earth goes through cold and warm spells all the time. It has been doing that for billions of years and will continue for more billions.

And if you are referring to the political crap from the UN. Who believes that totally corrupt body. The news keeps saying a bunch of scientists was the author of the UN report....wrong. It was totally political.

C'mon. Sit down and read some things and quit watching the garbage you see on TV
