First off, have patients, remember that at one point you were seven. Get her interested in watching something she might enjoy, try and let her call her mom briefly and let her say goodnight. Try and give her , her choice of a favorite snack. Ice Cream always works! for my kids anyhow. Good Luck

Lay down on the couch with her, calm her down, and watch her favorite movie. Ask her about her day and try to get her mind of her Mom. If that doesnt work, try to put her to bed and lay with her in her bed untill she finally falls asleep. And finally if all else fails- lay with her in her parents bed.

Do something that you both like, watch TV together, maybe put some popcorn inn. play with her, don't be aggressive, just try to understand that she's scared.

but you know what smile a lot, and don't worry about her parents, just make sure she's happy by the time they're back.

If she is seven then don't worry, just try to get her mind off of everything and play a game or barbies or something until she needs to go to bed.

I use to have this problem with my little nephew.Tried lotsa stuff to distract him but in vain.
So there's one day that I happened to be checking on my messages in my cell and it got him interested.Took his photos and did a little bit of recording of him prancing around (with the cell and he was aware of it). Then get him to lie down with me,and just let him watch himself from the cell.He enjoyed himself and finally got tired and fell asleep.
You may wanna try this...it sure help me calm him down.

Good luck,dear!

Leave her alone and let her cry. If you can't handle a crying child then maybe you shouldn't be babysitting. And get the hell OFF the computer and do the job you were hired to do...TEND TO THE CHILD. If you were on MY computer when I had hired you to babysit it would be the LAST time you babysat in my home.

Comfort her, ask her what her mommy does with her before she goes to bed, tall her that her mommy will be home soon. Poor you. Poor kid. Lucky mom.
