I have a finepix Z1, but when my X-D picture card in...it says.."card no initialized" ...what does this mean?

When I take the card out...it doesnt say it anymore! mmm..please help!

Do a web search with "card not initialized" as your query, and you will see that it is a problem with some of the finepix cameras.

The suggested remedy is to find "format" in your camera menu, and do the format. However, I can see that did not work for some users, and they had to download some freeware to do a low-level format using an external card reader (which you may not have.)

If the format does not work, you may want to return the card. If it is a cheap one, you may want to buy one of higher quality. You usually get what you pay for.
