YES! TOO MANY RULES! Some of us "Old School" Nascar fans can't stand it. What next? No Bumping? Racing is racing, the object is to go as fast as you can. Too many nit-picky rules. And get rid of the restrictor plates too!!!

I have seen a copy a couple years back but you as in general public can not obtain this unless you are planning on starting a team and need the guidelines. You would have set up a meeting with the board and prove to them that you are genuine in starting a team and have the financial backing and then you can purchase one not sure how much they cost. All tough most of the rules and guidelines are public knowledge so you can protest for the short book at anytime though it mainly contains rules for the race and conduct. Because you have to remember unlike other Auto racing NASCAR is a business not a sports club.

I honestly think that Nascar has too many rules. I think that they should let the teams develop at their own pace. They penalise teams for doing good by banning whatever competitive advantages that they have. Thank goodness for the point system change, that actually puts the emphasis on winning instead of just being consistent. Hopefully they will loosen up some rules and let the sport have some real good ideas and directions instead of the same ol' thing.

NASCAR covers so many angles with rules that it takes a full time person on a raceteam to keep up with them.
Quailifing sucks. It should be the fastest 43.
The rules are to level the field but at times t he smaller teams get the shaft with the rules.
With the events that involved cheating this week the rules need tightening to stop the cheating .

NASCAR has rules but they also make them up as they go. If you figure out how the qualifying process goes for Daytona let NASCAR know...lol

I liked Nascar when there were less rules and regulations. I remember when Cale Yarborough went 210mph at qualifying before the stupid restrictor plates. Now that was racing!

YES AND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE CHANGED ON A DAILY BASES OR A PER RACE BASES. WHO KNOWS WHAT THE RULES ARE FROM ONE RACE TO THE NEXT. I LIKED RACING IN THE DAYS GONE BY WHEN THE RULES AND REGULATIONS WERE ALMOST NONE AND THE RACING WAS MORE EXCITING BECAUSE OF IT. NASCAR HAS RULED AND REGULATED ITSELF TO A SLOW LOSE OF FANS, EVERY NASCAR RACE IS JUST A ROUTINE RACE BECAUSE OF THIS THESE DAYS.

Simply put....they have too many rules..certain rules apply for certain people...it's ridiculous. A rule for a rule for a rule. Doesn't make any sense, let em race...not worry about rules.
