You have gotten a lot of good answers. I just want to add that I got a set of "Wolfgang Puck's" cookware for Christmas, and it's wonderful! It's triple-clad stainless steel with stay-cool handles and glass lids. There are 8 pots and pans, not counting the lids, which are all glass with stainless steel handles. This cookware is oven-safe up to 400 degrees, and my sister-in-law said they got it at Sam's Club for only about $150.00, which is an incredible buy. I would highly recommend this cookware. I am having a great time cooking with it.

I have tried different brands, but my favorite is the executive cookware from Pampered Chef. It's excellent quality, durable, great design and lifetime warranty!! Find a consultant in your area - it really is worth the money. And if there is anything wrong with it, they will replace it - for free!!
