I am from NY and moved to LA, my boyfriend is moving in with me. I leased a car when I got out here, a VW Beetle Convertible (cute car.) After deciding on a Sedan, he has changed his mind and wants a convertible. How can i convince him how impractical it is to have two convertibles?

sure its fun to have 2convertibles, but you only need one
here's some ways to convince him

>extra costs on servicing roof:less money for beer
>bumpier ride:more spilling of beer
>the fact not many straight men have convertibles

sedans are much more useful....especially for anything that needs lots of boot space, or you want that larger-rear seat room. convertibles only have 2 rear seats, and that usually works against you in the long-run

Go out with 2 of your friends and try to fit them in the back seat of your convertible. Then he'll realize how impractical it is to do and even worse to have to drive 2 cars.

tell him you are thinking about getting a sedan the next time because the convertable is not really practical and a rollover could be devestating plus a sedan is more ridged and would probably be a little safer in any other type accident

i own a repair shop and my wife owns a upholstery shop for automobiles, try telling him the cost of having a top replaced on a convertible is around a thousand bucks ,and getting higher every day, maybe that will change his mind,im really serious ,she did one on a mercury Capri, and it cost around 1200 bucks to get the top,and all the needed hardware, and to install it,and we put one on this car about 3 years ago, that might change his mind,if he,s like me and most other men it wont work, but you can try, good luck i hope this help,s.
