ALL dogs grow. They all start off as tiny puppies and grow up to be different sizes. But some dogs end up growing to a very small size. These include any breeds in the toy group, like Chihuahuas, Yorkshire terriers, and others.

Teacup poodles are small also. But I agree with the guy above--small kids could easily hurt a small dog. I'd look for well mannered dogs and do searches on the best dogs for children. Maybe pick a small-medium size from that group, depending on the age of your child.

As far as I know, that's not possible. Can you be more specific? Do you mean a small dog? All dogs grow somewhat.

My Yorkies are pretty small... I don't recommend one under like 3 pounds (full grown) that is just not healthy. My male is 4 and my female is 5... and they are soooo small! But all dogs grow, just depend on what age you get them... When my male was 8 weeks he was 2 lbs...

All dogs grow and it depends on what type of dog to how large it will grow. Are you speaking of a particular breed of dog?

I think you mean the one that is about the size of the palm of your hand. Right now I can't remember the name. Try and google it you might start with minature toy breeds as your key words. Oh don't forget the word dog too.
