Drinking milk is a good start, make sure you are exposed to at least 5 to 10 min to sun light everyday. The sun helps the body to produce Vitamin D, which is essential for the absorption of Calcium.
Another important factor is weight bearing training. Any work against gravity will stimulate your body to deposit more calcium into your bones. This is scientifically proved. Astronauts who spent long periods in space used to come back with lower bone density, now they take special machines to exercise and prevent this to happen.

You didn't state how old you were...but WEIGHT BEARING EXERCISE is fantastic for bone strength. Try adding flavor to your low-fat milk. Try cheese, yogurt or any other milk based item. Each glass of 8 oz. milk contains 30mg. of calcium. White, chocolate or strawberry..doesn't matter...3 glasses a day is 900 mg. of calcium. Try broccoli, collards, spinach...greens are great. Salmon is good also. Beans too. Any juice with calcium added. Try calcium pills with Vitamin D added (400 iu) a day.

I am allergic to milk, and I havent had any for over 3 years. I drink soy milk, take calcium supplements, and orange juice. Milk isnt the only thing that gives you calcium, and if you want more information, you can email me.

Take calcium pills along with breads and other foods that have calicium in it already. Has to do with your age also. Maybe you are not old enough to have meat on your bones?
