A great alfredo sauce recipe is below. I'd saute some shrimp in a bit of both butter and EVOO, w/ garlic, a little S&P, then toss into the alredo sauce, and add pasta.

Real Fettucine Alredo

1 pound fresh fettucine
8 Tbsp. butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmigginao-Reggiano cheese
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Freshly grated nutmeg

As the water for the pasta begins to boil, melt butter in large sauté pan over low heat. Add cream to butter and let it warm.

At the same time, salt the pasta water and cook until al dente. Drain pasta thoroughly, and mix with butter and cream in sauté pan over low heat. Add cheese and toss until sauce thickens slightly. Season with pepper and nutmeg.

Remove from heat and serve immediately with additional cheese on the side.

Serves 4-6

If you've already got the sauce all you need to do is cook the shrimp and the fettucine and you're ready to go. I would suggest sauteing the shrimp in a little butter or olive oil with some garlic and maybe some italian seasoning then then dumping the sauce into the pan to heat up once the shrimp is cooked. You can be creative and add vegetables and things like that, just realize that vegetables will take longer to cook than the shrimp. Make sure you peel your shrimp first before cooking them.

Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo

Rich and creamy Alfredo sauce with Parmesan cheese, garlic and plenty of shrimp.

1 pound fettuccini pasta
1 tablespoon butter
1 pound cooked shrimp - peeled and deveined
4 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup half-and-half
6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
salt to taste
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In a large skillet, saute shrimp and garlic in the butter for about one minute. Pour in half and half; stir. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese in one tablespoon at a time, stirring constantly. After all Parmesan is added, mix in parsley and salt. Stir frequently making sure it does not boil. Sauce will take a while to thicken up. Once thickened combine with cooked pasta and serve hot.
Hope this helps..
