anxiety decreases our threshold for pain which makes us more sensitive to even the slightest pain. you may be more sensitive to joint pains and muscle pains and other pains if you're anxious. you become more bothered and aware of the pain because of your preexisting anxiety. the pain may either have an underlying pathological cause like arthritis, etc or none. if none, then the pain is just a form of psychosomatization, meaning "too much" anxiety was converted into physical symptoms as the person's way of coping emotionally. this usually happens to people who are unable to speak up their emotions. it manifests in many other ways.

anxiety can cause a plethora of problems ...muscle and joint pain surely could be linked... because when we are anxious our muscle can become tense and rigid which puts extra stress on the bones and joints and in turn they can ache... there are great medications as well as natural ways to relief anxiety...call your physician and ask him his recommendations

For information on muscles read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
Stress whether anxiety or not can cause the muscles to have knots (trigger points) which make them tight allowing them to press on nerves.
If doctors tell you that you have fibromialgia (and they do not go there lightly) start taking products that are anti-yeast, anti-fungal, anti-toxins (but do it slowly to start).
