Forgive yourself & release yourself from the pain of guilt. Yes, you were watching your sister but 3 year old children are here one second and there the next. It was a terrible accident. You can't spend the rest of your life blaming yourself. It won't bring your sister back. I'm sure your parents understand how you feel. Talk to them. God Bless you!

Hello there. I am sorry for your loss. But i firmly believe what happened was not your fault. It was probably nobody's fault. It was an accident. And there are some things beyond our control. Like they are God's wish. And the bad thing about them is, since they are beyond our control, we can not do anything about it. It is good to just move on. You can either spend all your life feeling guilty. Which is not good for you or either your parents. They do not want to loose another daughter. Or you can move on. I know it is easier said than done. Start getting involved in activities you like. Hobbies, charities, social services, prayers, studies, anything. Start doing stuff you enjoy. Get some professional help. There is nothing wrong with that. Once you start enjoying your life, start loving yourself. If you do not start loving yourself, you can never get over the guilt...good luck...GuruBhai.

Grandpa died on Christmas Eve long ago and I loved my grandparents dearly. Some in our family made wise cracks to the effect that he did so just to be an inconvenience and mark up the holidays ...even those to come. I looked at in a more mature light. Christmas Eve was grandmas, bless her soul, favorite day...what better way to remember granda who I know loved his wife with a passion?
Valentines Day reminds even the most stubborn of love for another...even tho some people won't admit it to this day which is obviously not you. It's ok to remember your sister on this day. It was a tragic accident by your posted question, a day of learning but yet somehow a day that makes people pay attention to one thing "love".

I understand your pain and how you may feel guilty about the accident. However, remember that God is the one who decides who is born and when someone dies. It was not your fault that she died, but it was the time that God had ordained for her to die - It just happened while you were with her. You must forgive yourself and let go of the guilt. If you find it hard to do - pray and ask God to help you to forgive yourself and help you to let go of the guilt. It was not your fault that she died - It was God's time for her to go to Heaven.

nothing you can do. It is actually your parents fault for not setting boundries etc. about where she should be. It is in reality probably nobodys fault and just an acciodent.

Did she have an epileptic seisure? Was it something she saw on television? She was probably nervous.. and slipped.. you could have done nothing about this... It was probably an accident... Maybe you should seek some professional counseling.... Someone who can help you, without you becoming emotionally attached to this person... Please forgive yourself... :) Good luck!

It was not your fault - it would've happened even if you were right there - it was just her time. Forgive yourself.
