Boils are caused by ingrown hairs, clogged pores or foreign materials in the skin. Some things can be done; he can use a poof to keep ingrown hairs from forming them, this will also help with the clogged skin pores as for foreign materials on his skin that might be something at his work even. He might try a anti bacterial soap also as that may help.

Where is he from? Boils could be small Pox!!! Doubtful but you never know! does he have a fever? You better take him to a doctor.

It coul be anything. He needs to have a doctor to look at it and tell him because people on yahoo answers can accurately tell you the answer.
