I read about a case in England where a guy parked his car and couldn't find it. It took him I think more than a year to find it. The article said that he walked many, many streets. But never up that one little bend....

I took a plunger and wrapped the stick (handle?) with orange reflective tape and stuck it on the roof of my car.
Never had a problem since.
