I believe so.Had a Muslim friend who got injured in an accident (couldn't stand properly without her crutches) and she had to do her prayers sitting down.
Why don't you check around with your Muslim friends?I guess it doesn't matter as long as you're praying.Hope you'll get better.
Take care!

Yes, I am Muslim as well, and, even though most people don't have knee pains, even if they're old, they still sit down and pray. It doesn't matter at all. I go to the Mosque very often and I see many many people who aren't able to stand and pray, they all just sit down and pray. :)

Of course it's okay, it all depends on your condition do what you can, there was a man who had suegery on his spine and couldn't get out of bed and he was praying laying down just slightly bowing his head and very small movments, but that's all he could do so it was perfectly fine for him and it's perfectly fine for you.

Peace

prophet Muhammed (PBUH) told us in a Hadeeth that
if u can't pray while u r standing, u can sit & pray
if u can't sit, u can lay on ur back (on bed) & pray with ur head (moving head up & down)
if u can't pray with ur head, u can pray with ur eyes (by closing & openeing ur eyes)
if u can't pray with ur eyes, so u can pray with ur heart (that means u can pray with ur intent)

look how easy is Islam, its a very peaceful religion that don't want to make human tired even in praying

Answer on ur question
u can sit & praywith ur upper body , no problem

Try using a stool to half-kneel and bow your head. I'm sure Allah will understand.
