why do I get jealous when boyfriend flirts with ugly waitress as I am very attractive and usually not jealous?

It's normal to be jealous, but you shouldn't be. It sounds like since you are not usually jealous and you are attractive, your boyfriend is most likely trying to get you jealous to see that you care about him. He needs reassurance that you care about him, his flirting is probably harmless and unless he is to the point of out right disrespecting you at the table, (don't put up with that) although it is kind of immature behavior, that's all he has to work with. If you really like him, do this see if it works, just try paying a little more attention to him next time you guys go out to dinner make him feel like he's special to you and see if you don't get his undivided attention, if that doesn't work discuss this with him, he may not even realize what he's been doing. You just need to stop, look, listen, and most important communicate come to an understanding let him know it's not cool to flirt too much with another in front of you. You, don't mistake kindness with another girl as flirting, but recognize it's not what one does it's how they do it, hang in there, good fortune to you and your man, and your relationship.

He probably just does it to make her day,and get better service.Most men flirt with the waitresses, half the time it doesn't mean nothing,it's part of the charm of getting better business. I bet if you asked him about it, he would probably tell you something similar.And if not then don't eat there anymore.My boyfriend is a flirt and he admits it, but he says it's just to get what he wants, he isn't going to do anything. It's somewhat of a natural instinct. Like when a boy says that some girl looks really pretty you just happen to look to see who it is as if you're checking out the competition when in fact you know you don't even like the boy. You proberly just don't like the attention he's giving to her. It might have happened too many times for you to ignore it .

I guess you wonder why he does it? Even if he is flirting with them to make them feel better, he shouldn't. Especially in front of his girlfriend. Maybe he is insecure and secretly feels unattractive himself, so he does it to make himself feel better? He feels like he doesn't deserve you, like you are too good for him, so he flirts with girls he thinks are "easy" based on looks? I know the feeling.
