i would tell him the truth. any attempt at subtle hints or or trying to turn him off may just backfire (or he just may not get it altogether) and in the end you may just end up being more hurtful toward him. Honesty is the best way.

Call him "friend" in some verbal conversation. Give him a chuck on the shoulder and do guy things with him like drinking beer and watching football..also tell him that you kind of like someone else.

Well u don't want to tell him anything that would let him think negative about u and start spreadin bad things about u. Just tell him that u think he is a nice person but u aren't interseted and he don't deserve a girl like u.

Just be honest with him. Tell him that you're flattered, but you aren't interested in him like that. Most guys get the hint at that point. Subtle methods would probably be lost on him, anyway.

You act kindly. He's probably not a bad person. There are others out there for him. Just say that it's not the right time for you to be involved with him (as long as he doesn't act like a stalker).

Just tell him you don`t like him. Put him down as softly as you could. You can`t turn him down w/o hurting him emotionally, so you might as well take the softest route.

tell him that you can't date him but it is not because of him but you. that's the most cruel way other then flat out saying the guy is ugly and unattractive. whichever one you wanna use, it's up to you.

not very much you can do there. just try not to feed the obsession. thats pretty much it. if a guy likes you, theres not much thatll stop him, but time and moving on. sry.
