I am ten years old, and it may seem like that is a young age, but I am a pretty mature kid.All I was thinking about doing, was just going to the movies or something.What do you think?

ABSOLUTELY TOO YOUNG!!! Just saying you're a pretty mature kid scares me. Why do you want to date? The best thing for you to do is go places in a group. Meet a bunch of friends at the movies or roller skating. Even the mall is OK, but don't act like a mallie. Just hang out and be polite. People will look at you and your friends and smile because you'll be respectful of others, etc.

Ten is too young, you don't understand what love is. I am 13 and I still haven't had a bf. I think you should wait, because the longer you wait the longer you'll enjoy it. Being ten is about being a kid and having fun, so do that and when you get older you can fall in love and have a bf.

Way to young. My little brother is 10 and I can't imagine him dating right now. You're in 5th GRADE. Plus the guys in elementary school are childish. Give them a few years to grow up :)
I started to date when I was 14. I think near the end of 8th grade is a good place to start.

I think that you should stay away from dating or having a boyfriend. I DO think that going to the movies with guys and girls, even including the one you like, is fine. But doing anything alone at your age is not a good idea.

YES, how can a 10 year old know anything about dating? What about getting good grades in school and becoming something in life other than some guys girlfriend.

as a parent of 16 14 and 11 year olds, you are definatly way to young to date.. have a crush, like someone but dating at 10 is way to young

What she considers a date and what WE consider a date are 2 completely different things!!.
Girl .. go to the movies if ya want. Tho as a Father .. I would want to come as chaperone. I don't have a problem with it if they just go to the movies or something.
This the problem with today .. we put adult points of view on child like events.

Mhmm. The youngest people I know that are dating are at least in 6th grade o.O... But you can have a guy best friend to talk w/ and stuff =]].
But if you go to the movies w/ that him, take a couple of friends too. More chance your parents would say yes =]].

Yes, your job should be helping your mother out around the house! Get a life!!! Just because you see all of those Idiots doing things like that doesn't mean you have to. You have plenty of time. take up a sport and think out side of the box....

Yes, you are way too young, girlfriend. You don't know enough about yourself yet to start sharing it with someone else. You must be very, very, very mature to date at 10, which I doubt you are (sorry). Wait until you are older.
