I accidentally ran over my daughter's foot when picking her up from school, I thought she was in the car. Nothing is broken but it is really bruised. I took her to our doctor immediately, she's doing well but I am a mess! It's tough being a parent! Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Don't be so hard on yourself, mom! You didn't intentionally run over her foot. Everything is ok. She is safe. It is not easy be a parent, that is for sure. I'm surprised most of our kids make it to adulthood when you think of everything that can go wrong! (One time I rushed off to a swim meet in the mini van, talking to my five year old the entire way. When I arrived at our destination, I realized she wasn't even in the car!! She was still back at the house... sheesh!!) Hang in there!

Yes. I was rushing to clean house because company was coming. I grabbed a large stock pot out of the sink swung around to put it away just as my 2.5 year old daughter walked into the kitchen. Smacked her right in the forehead with the handle. Rush to the doctor, stitches and a lifetimes guilt for 2 little stitches. Parenting is tough.

I accidentally pulled my oldest daughters arm out of socket. And if that wasn't bad enough about 6 months later she touched the burner on the stove when it was still REALLY hot. Wonderful parent I am. Both times she was fine and the second time she learned a valuable lesson. Lighten up. Accidents happen.

Have you ever seen Silent HIll? Well theres a quote that I love in there.
"Mother is god in the eyes of a child."
And its true. I look up to my mom regardless of all the mistakes she does. Us as humans have to experience something and grow from it. Learn from it and move on with your life. You daughter will love you whether you ran over her foot or not. Just make sure you let her know it.
Hope your daughter is feeling better now and hope I've helped!

each and all of the time. My 2nd son has a head of metallic and constantly smashes it around (yet in no way seems to sense a difficulty). My little ones additionally love working around with push automobiles and smash them into my ft. now and back issues get thrown around the room (or perhaps nonetheless they get punished for throwing issues), I study to look after guidance from becoming to be dodgy. whilst out interior the open I truthfully have a tendency to twist my feet under my ft and be arranged to bounce out of how basically in case a infant darts around a nook with some form of toy they have by some potential grew to become deadly. i comprehend they do no longer propose to do those issues, yet they don't comprehend what hurts and what does not.

Sucks doesn't it. My son ran in front of a truck and got hit. Luckily they were going slow and it only knocked him down but I took one leap from the curb and was picking him up in the middle of the road.
Hope you're daughter is alright and don't worry, it could happen to anyone.

When my daughter was a baby I set her on a table in her seat and she fell off the table and hit her head. Physically she was fine but now (20 years later) I think I did some serious damage!!!!
