You should run a anti-spyware program like Ad-Aware, SpyBot or SpySweeper. You can find these at download.com. Unless you are hitting the left arrow key by mistake when you are typing, or the backspace key, or accidently clicking a hyperlink that is cached on your computer (this could happen if you type on a laptop and your touchpad sensitivy is set too high), then something fishy is going on in your browser. By the way Alt-Left arrow key and the backspace key are like the Back button, and your Alt key could be stuck in the down position. If these key/combinations aren't causing the behavior, more than likely it's some type of malware.

Sounds weird. Have you run a full virusscan in Safe Mode? That's the best way.
Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5. From Start, Programs, run your AV program.
When it is finished, Restart. You will probably find your icons messed up. No biggee. Drag them back into place.

Sounds like your mouse is messed up. Unlpug the mouse, and blow the dust out. If that doesn't fix it then try uninstalling the mouse driver and reinstalling the driver for the mouse. If you don't know how to do that take the computer to Best Buy (Geek Squad) and I think they will do it for free.
