Yes, I am composing a letter explaining why I am closing out all of my accounts. I will enclose my cut up credit cards and check cards. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Maybe they should change their name to BofM instead of BofA.

I can only hope they lose 50 million customers to gain the 20 million.they are courting.

to me, it seems nothing more than a debit card but i think its a terrible idea. i just dont understand why these people are being rewarded for breaking the law. what example does this show for young children? If these illegals get these cards and go default it would serve Bank of America right. I hope they loose billions from this stupid business idea. These credit cards will never go on a credit report so if they are late or default, they still will not have bad credit. If my bank decides to do the same stunt as BOA, the next day im withdrawing all of my money and investments and going elsewhere. I think bank of america is in trouble. whenever something radical like this happens, it signifies financial trouble. why would they have to cater to the illegal immigrant community? if my bank does this, i know its the beginning of the end and i am leaving asap.

Bnak of America is all about making money. That there is such a loophole in the Patriot Act leads me to beleive they influenced the authors of the bill to include the loophole. The financial services industry has tremendous clout with Congress -- lobbyists for them, if they did not in fact write the new bankruptcy law, provided much of the language in it --

So I'm not that surprized. The almighty dollar trumps national security.

GREAT question!! I'm so annoyed with this crap I don't even know what to say. I am tempted to go down there open an account, then in 3 months open a CC account charge it up, then walk in ask and what would happen if I didn't pay this off. You do not have my real name you have no idea who I am.

It would be nice but wrong. I did close my CC account with them. LOL I had to wait over an hour. I told the guy to close my account and he didn't even argue. I said so you must be having a tough day. LOL he said if you only knew!! ROFLOL!!!! It made my day.

No way, it is against the law and it is a security risk. They are accepting illegal immigrant documents issued by the Mexican government. Basically identification that says, this person is authorized by the Mexican government to be in the U.S. despite U.S. law. It's analogous to Osama issuing his own idea for his operatives and a U.S. bank honoring it.
