I live in Venezuela and I can tell you we have seen better days then now... it's not the best time to come, our president is starting to declare things that don't sound good for a democratic country.

I've been there. I love it, because it is a beautiful Country and the people is pretty nice. As to the government, stay away from making any comments about it when you get there and see what you'll see, and hear what you will hear.
