I read somewhere that unconsciously....our selections are affected by our parents.

True en part.
- probably you'd want someone raised in a similar fashion to you. Which also is the way your mom raised you
- maybe there are certain looks you like that a similar too your mother.
- it would also make you feel more taken care of.
Personally I like a bunch of girls. Some with similar characteristics as my mom. Others who are not.

I have a bad relationship with my dad so i literally run away from anyone that in the slightest way reminds me of him. Because of this possibly destructive tendency, I am, to put it mildly, very unattracted to people of my race and especially people of my culture. And it has affected my relationships with men. I subconsciously try to take out my dislike for my dad on men that I date. Sorry guys, i truely am trying to change and hopefully, i will not repeat such tendencies in my next relationship

ummmm I think I would feel comfortable around someone who has similar personality as my mom does, my mom is the best person in the whole wide world.

Yeah it seems that way. I have notice that my self. Those kind of relationships usually dont last.

i think if the guy's a "mama's boy", he'll want a guy like his mom - it's just like "daddy's little girl" - girls like that want a man like their dad - soo i guess it just depends on that
