my keyboard is not typing and I have no clue what to do, please help me. it is pluged in but it seems to not be on.

um..if your keyboard is not typing, how did u type your question?
check the wire and the connector at the back of your box, that could be where the problem lies.

Have you gone to the device manager to see if it is working?

To open Device Manager,
click Start, point to Settings,
and then click Control Panel.
Double-click System. On the Hardware tab,
click Device Manager.
Right-cl the item to be checked and select Properties.
You should be told whether or not the item is working properly. You can also update the driver from here.

If the message says it is not working, you know the keyboard is faulty.

Also could be a bad keyboard , try a new one..I have also had a few PCs with bad ports on the motherboard...if so , use a USB keyboard..should work fine.

Well, is your keyboard one of the odd ones that has a power button on it? Try blowing the dust out of the cord...

Restart the computer and try again.

If while restarting, you get an error like "Keyboard Error", unplug the keyboard, plug it back in and restart again.
