I HATE my hair!?!?

Question

First off, I have REALLY thick brown hair. I'm white (didnt know if that would help...) Its curly and frizzy unless I put it up. But when I put it up I dont like the way it makes my face look. Even when I put it in braids or low pigtails it frizzes. About 2-3 inches at the top of my hair are straightish. Whenever I put it down I frizz really bad. When I straighten it it looks better but soon, I have a bunch of flyaways and frizz. I really like it down except for that.

Any hair ideas?

I had frizzy hair too but not anymore! Here's what really works:
1. ALWAYS rinse shampoo out with warm water and conditioner out with very cold water.
2. Use BOTH shampoo & conditioner everyday.
3. Ask your stylist to thin or razer your hair throughout. They just take scissors or a razering tool and cut through it randomly to thin it out it the thick areas of ypur hair.
4. If you have time, always air dry (not blow dry) your hair. It always dries smoother and more frizz free.
5. Use a shampoo and conditioner that is for sleek, smooth, anti-frizz results.
AND
6. Use a frizz-tamer, frizz-ease, de-frizz ect. type hair gel or cream to tame the frizz.

I also have really thick curly hair and am white. these are the things I have learned to do to deal with it.

1.) You can't wash it every day. Curly hair is drier than straight as the oils don't make it all the way down the hair shaft and so if you wash it every day, it gets worse. Try every other and on the day you don't wash it spritz it with a leave in conditioner in a spray bottle and scruch to get your shape back.

2.) use a really good conditioner when you wash it and use a longer in shower conditioner once a week to help keep it healthy

3.) Only comb through it in the shower to minimize breakage and always use a large tooth comb.

4.) Use a good quality gel when you style and if you want, try a frizz treatment. I like Climate control by Ouidad. It is expensive but it works really really well.

5.) Use a diffuser not a regular blow drier. You'll have less frizz and less fly aways.

I hope this helps. It allows me to control my frizz and flyaways and still have curls that are defined and have shape, shine and bounce without the "big" hair that comes with curls

First don't blow dry your hair because it makes it more frizzy. Just brush it then air dry. You can try an anti-frizz leave in conditoner that can really help too. Be sure not to brush it a lot when its dry because that can cause it to get more frizzy. When you straighten it you can also put a little bit of hair spray. Hope this helps!

Couldn't you get it thinned out and then when you straightned it, it wouldn't be as bad and would be easier? Also, try hair spray when it is fully straightend. (DO NOT USE HAIR SPRAY THEN STRAIGHTNERS)
