It was added to my current health issues when I saw a neurologist last week. The doctor saw things that weren't normal on a head CT but no one would tell me what. I guess they're waiting to see MR results.

swelling in my nerves? wouldn't this cause a high sed. rate? mine (test) has always been normal.

also, what can cause this?

well neuralgia is a pain in the nerves, neuritis is a conditon of swelling/inflammation in the nerves and NOS means not otherwise specified. i guess u may have some swelling in your nerves but they are unsure as to why and maybe want to consult or as u say wait on MRI results

Neuralgia is a sever burning or stabbing pain that is often following the course of the whole nerve neuritis is more of a disease of the peripheral nerves the inflammation of neuritis can be more long term than neuralgia the pain from neuralgia is often caused by neuritis hope this makes sense
