Not sure on your car but sounds like maybe the water pump went out taking the timing belt with it. Could be a costly repair if any of the valve were bent.If the water pump bearing goes it will start dropping coolant til the bearing goes completely then the belt jumps or breaks . Once that happens the car will not start til everything is repaired.

could be the timing belt remove the inspection cover , the water pump is in the center and possibly the crank sensor , or a number of other reasons , first does it sound strange when cranking like its no compression if it sounds normal , see if you have a spark , if you have a spark then do you have a injection pulse a test light will work , if you have injection pulse , do you have fuel , if you have that then you will need a service manual and follow tests to each component could be a relay , fuse , sensor or a number of things , did it over heat or just lose coolant the odds of the belt broken from coolant loss is small , if it hasn't been changed in over 100 k then most likely broken but you need to investigate

what you need to do is disconnect the coolent sensor when the coolant sensor goes bad it wont let your car start do to that the sensor is sending a signal to your mammory that it doesnt have any coolant

Maybe the wires are not getting contact with the plugs, most likely loose.
