I read in a yahoo section that someone believed that spelling things backwards was a sign of Satan. I've never heard of anything like that in the bible. Is that just a myth? Thoughts?
Mine? Sounds ridiculous. Like spelling things backwards is evil.....puleeeease

I don't think so. In fact that's one I've never heard. Actually the last time I heard something like that was an episode of Fantasy Island where some woman was accused of witchcraft because she could only say the Lord's prayer backwards. Funny the stuff people come up with.

Depends on how religious you are. The more you are possessed by the holy spirit, the more you are possessed by the devil too. Those jezusfreaks see god and the devil in everything they want them to see in and everywhere they want them to see. If someone started "to speak in tongues" to me, while I was a christian (which is not the case), then I'd think that person was possessed by the devil. But lately it seems to be very popular amongst the jesusfreaks to make grungy sounds when they're together, so maybe writing, speaking and singing backwards will be popular amongst them soon too, making it a very divine things to do in your spare time.

Spelling names backwards is an adolescent game.
An outside entity entering your body and compelling you against your will to murder shoppers in a mall at random is a sign of Satan.
(Do these people really think that Satan plays little kid's games?)

It's just a myth. And I can prove it. English is written backwards, and no one who writes in English has a problem. (The first alphabets went right to left)

It's a form of deviance and rebellion, but Satanic??? I'm not sure. It could be other issues and a combination of both.

um i dont kno whether spalling things backwards is a work of the devil but i have heard of the one cd had words on the back of it and they were written backwards and he read it into a mirror and i kno that thats bad cuz ur reading into ur soul and im not sure its about god
