Is this your attempt to be funny? It's not funny, it's actually rather retarded. Yes, they teach grammar and spelling in schools. You have to realize with todays technology, kids don't have to be well educated. For examples: A mathematical calculator, kids do not have to learn the multiplication tables, or anything. It's the easy way out. Then, you have computers that automatically spell check and grammar check. A lot of people prefer not to use spell check and grammar while on the net, because after all they aren't in school, and don't have people critique their every word.

And this has what to do with religion/spirituality?

Based on your profile, perhaps you should return to discussing the more important questions of this generation. Namely, who's better looking, Lisa Marie Presley or Jennifer Lopez?

By the way, there is a spell checker.

Apparently not. They don't seem to teach math either.

Two or three years ago NY state was considering throwing out the Regents math test because no one passed it!

Yes, they do teach them in school. Obviously, many have skipped school during those periods. I guess you've been hanging around horrible spellers too long. It's rubbing off on you too.

* I myself have deslexic fingers. I use spel check, but it does not always show any errors, so I preview it and find mispelled words, but am too lazy to wait for my dialup so I just send it anyway.*
