the car than have them yelling and punching each other inside. Am I wrong? I've taught them to watch out for dry patches and stop signs, so I think they have all the "safety training" they need. Besides, it's only a three mile drive.

I would definately have them stop! What would happen if another vehicle were to not be paying attention and hit them? Instead I would take control of what is going on the vehicle when they are in it. You are the parent- not them!

if you're serious, and skeeching involves them holding on or clinging to the vehicle while you are driving..it is dangerous & illegal and you would get the ticket. and as far as them punching & yelling, perhaps you should discipline them or take away things that are important to them if they cannot behave
