I dated a guy for 10 months, and shared in the expenses, lunch, dinner, breakfast, movies, him more than me, but I helped out too. Then about 2-3 months in the relationship, he brought up "dutch" more than once, so I started paying my way every time we went out, and I started to resent it. How do men and women feel about this subject?

I wouldn't have dated him as long as you did, been through that stuff too much in the past. A man supposed to pay for most things when your dating, that's the way it is and always has been. That guy was cheap.

I personally still believe the man pays. I would think as a gal, if it's my idea to go eat out, or go somewhere, be willing to offer to pay for it. And be prepared to actually pay for it, before bringing it up to the guy. I have guys I am just friends with, and we talk about going "dutch" all the time. I had a bf that would usually pay, unless I would offer if it was my idea. It's something each couple needs to talk over when the time is appropriate. I hope this helps. Take care.

When I first started dating my boyfriend, he used to pay. I paid if I wanted to go out and vice versa, as the relationship got meaningful we went 50/50 or sometimes I paid or he did. It's ok to pay your way and he pays he's but I will start to wonder why he never treats me out. Maybe you should ask him about the sudden change, he could be going through some financial issues

Men pays... up till the ring. Otherwise you deny them the chase.o r compromise yourself as less of a catch.
How much he makes isn;t the issue either. My man makes 9 times what I makes so he pays of course, but my first bf made less than what I make but he still pays, we eat less expensive places and do mroe creative stuff than travel and stuffs.

I have plenty of money, but I enjoy it when a lady friend of mine wants to go "DUTCH".
