"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" [2 Corinthians 6:14/KJV]. For a more modern translation, the NIV states that verse as "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" [NIV]

Paul's comment here is that believers and nonbelievers do have nothing in common, so trying to start a marriage with such a disparity will only lead to problems. God is to be at the center of a Christian marriage, and if half of the humans involved don't acknowledge that, tensions will arise.

In 1 corinthians chapter 6 maybe.
But for me,muslim lady is good to date also, especially if you love each other.
But in either group we are forbidden. So we look each other in our citizenship and we give freedom to each religious pratices because we love each other.
But the religious people around us give us pressure. Not the one that you date.
I dont know really.
But dating whom you love is very memorable.
May God guide us and may the people understand us

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT YOU SHOULD BE EQUALLY YOKED.

This refers to having two oxen pull a cart. If one is bigger than the other the cart will go in circles. If a couple doesn't have the same values their marriage can not be strong.

Why would a person chose to spend the rest of their lives with someone who doesn't hold the same opinions and optimism.

Some friend you are! You mean you're going to try to bother and nag her not to see the guy she likes because YOU have a bee in your bonnet about it! Well I hope she tells you where to get off, you interfering busybody. You are one of the reasons people don't like Christians. Even other Christians don't like Christians like you!

Now get a life and do something useful.

I have a good reason why....ignorant and intolerant Christians...like you seem to be...are like a cancerous cell in society....and we should keep as many cells away from it...or you...as possible to stop your idiocy from spreading.

I'm sorry...that wasn't from scripture though.

"It doesn't freaking matter what religious belief a person has, that doesn't change who they are inside."
Dink 3:4
What the heck is wrong with todays society. Honestly, what the heck should religion have to do with dating someone? Is your friend a complete idiot to not grasp the concept religion doesn't consume a person?
