It is clear from scripture that the dead rest in graves until the resurrection. It seems really strange that some folks can think they are going to "heaven" before the judgement. Positive thinking is great, but it doesn't change facts.

Meanwhile Hades is the place divided in to paradise an torment where souls wait for the 2nd coming of Christ, the dead in Christ shall rise first and meet Jesus in the air, then those which are living shall rise, and all will come before the mighty throne and be judged. Hold your Bible and pray for Spiritual guidence. Open to the concordence and look up all the text on death and read. In Geneis our Creator formed man (mankind) out of the dust, than breathed life into him and Man became a living soul. At death the reverse happens the breath leaves and the body returns to the earth. The Bible explains death as sleeping. There is A day when Jesus (our Creater) will return and his reward is with Him and He will call His faithful and this is the first ressurection. The dead(in Christ) will rise and those faithful that are alive at that time will be changed in an instant and all meet in the air and be taken to heaven for a thousand years. During that time all the records will be open for examination and all will understand why the other people were not accepted. Than at the end of a thousand years --read on it is very exciting--the second resurection--
Also look up the text on -soul-

I believe based on what the bible says that we enter soul sleep until the rapture when Jesus comes in the clouds to take up all the Christians. These scriptures state that Jesus will come with the clouds, and every eye will see him. The dead in Christ will rise first.

We will not go to heaven or hell until the Day of Judgment according to the scriptures. Christ will come and all will be there for the Judgment. At that time the Books will be opened. Are you ready?
Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. HEAR - Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
2. BELIEVE - In Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
3. REPENT - Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
4. CONFESS CHRIST - 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
5. BE BAPTIZED - Romans 6:3-4 do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
6. CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL - Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

according to the bible (I know it says it, I just can´t find the exactly verse) we go back the the Father...
I will look for if I find that verse.
Personally we go to where we belong to. If you accept Jesus before according with what he says (that if you believe in Him and declare it you get saved) it mean that we don´t have to be judged because He already absolved our sins, but if you didn´t I guess you go straight to the hell and then you´ll have to be judged for a longer condemnation.
Like the judges todays.

When we die our bodies stay in the grave and our spirits go to hades or paradise depending on our life on earth. When Christ comes again Death and Hades will give up their dead to be judged before the throne. Those unworthy of heaven go to hell.

The Bible says ( and I am not sure of the exact location, but I will look for it) that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord---those who are saved that is.
And as far as hell, yes they go to a place- the lake of fire, I am not sure for after judgment it says they will be thrown there....but Gahena I think it is where they go when they die.
