I can only speak for Christianity, as that is what I am, a Christian. No, Christianity is not the root of all evil. When a person comes to a faith and makes Christ the Lord of their life, He creates a new heart. The walk with Christ is one of love and forgiveness. As for Islam, I have no idea what they believe. Why do you think a Christian would be an authority on Islam? What is the root of all evil is the unrepentant heart of mankind, it is evil beyond understanding.

evil is currently a constant. its existed since the beginning of time as from the first creation with free will had the choice between sin and righteousness. evil won't disappear forever until earth is destroyed after Armegeddon.
and for the 10 to the 37th power time, stop blaming Christianity for the world's problems. People went to war despite whether they believed in God or not, and people always will, until the end of time.

No religion - especially Islam and Christianity - favor evil of any kind. Religions teach the right way to live in society with peace. Its only the perverted and the strayed, who become the self-styled champions of that religion that cause all the evil and also bring bad name to a particular religion.

Religion, be it Christianity, Islam, or Judaism or whatever, is in itself not the root of all evil. Corruption of religious beliefs for ones own purposes IS evil. This has gone on since the dawn of time.

No. Man and his evil, greedy and God-denying choices is the root of all evil.
Fortunately, Man can change if he decides to.
