Would you rather go to Heaven for all eternity or have there be nothing after you die? To me, the idea of something continuing without end (even a Heaven) gives me a slight panic attack. While this question seems obvious, none of us seemed to mind the "infinite" time of unconsciousness (my opinion I guess, not to discredit other beliefs) prior to our birth. A Hindu teacher on TV said Heaven must be the worst place imaginable; creativity is what makes this world interesting and without tension, negative influences, and what we think of as "evil" there can be no creativity and hence stagnation ensues. On a side note, if there is a Heaven I wonder if my family and friends would actually all be there or if it would be representations of them as I remember and, thus, Heaven is something individual. Also, would you rather take accompaniment in Hell or be alone in Heaven? Some interesting things to consider...

id rather cease to exist

going to heaven would make me immortal, immortal meaning time has no effect on me. if i cannot lose anything then that "anything" becomes of no value. the most valued things in life are things we could lose at any moment.

plus it would be beyond boring.

I would rather go to heaven for eternity....why would anyone want anything different? Why would eternity give you a panic attack, no sickness, no aging, no war, no hate, nothing negative, streets paved with gold, mansions, peace, a loving God! How could you not want that....As far as hell I would rather be alone in heaven before I accompany someone in hell filled with hate, dis pair, evil, fire and brim stones, torture, why would you want that? Well these are my opinion and my beliefs to your question. Thanks for asking :) Oh and no matter where you end up both are for eternity so folks think about that......live your life now and make wise decisions because judgement comes after death and you get no second chances......thats it!

I'm not worried about the whole eternal existence thing - I'm sure there will still be plenty of creative things to do, and LOTS of things to learn.

And yeah, I believe families can be together in heaven.

I'd rather just cease to exist. Heaven sounds very boring, for most of the reasons you give. Plus, eternity without sex? You've got to be kidding.

If you are thinking this much about something so simple I believe you are searching for something to fill up an emptiness inside... I believe that Hevane is going to be awesome! we are all going to be together just worshipping the Lord and learning more and more about Him for ETERNITY! That just blows my mind away because I can't even fathom eternity... It will be awesome!

Heaven is not some hypothetical place, nor is Eternity. you and me and everyone will be somewhere for all eternity, like it or not. Heaven is Joy beyond what our feeble, finite minds can comprehend.Hell is regurgitated paid w/o end.

I do not want to live forever, that in and of itself would be hell. There's only a finite amount of things to do and learn and eternity is infinite.
