Well, you've already heard the protein and fiber bit. They are also great because they have no fat and they fill you up if you're on a diet. That's the fiber thing there. If you soak the beans overnight and then rinse them and cook them in new water, the gas is greatly reduced. I had some for lunch and I'm not making music. Of course, I never do....
