Valentine's is a minor holiday at best, so I never gave it much thought, but I wouldn't even know how to "make Cupid a part of it" if I wanted to. Would I lay red roses on an altar to him? Pray to him, or leave milk and cookies out for him? What does he like? No, Cupid doesn't much enter into my thoughts one way or the other, unless you are talking about the myth of Cupid and Psyche, which is a lovely story. But it is not part of my Valentine's Day. Since we're on the subject, Happy Valentine's Day to you though.

What does being a Christian and allowing cupid to be part of the day have against each other? I'm a Christian and don't see a thing wrong with it.

What is the origin of Valentine’s Day? The World Book Encyclopedia informs us: “Valentine’s Day comes on the feast day of two different Christian martyrs named Valentine. But the customs connected with the day . . . probably come from an ancient Roman festival called Lupercalia which took place every February 15. The festival honored Juno, the Roman goddess of women and marriage, and Pan, the god of nature.”—(1973), Vol. 20, p. 204.

Cupid is just another example of what Christianity has borrowed from Pagans even though most will condemn it.

st. valentine was eaten alive by lions for following the god
of love. he and another christian girl fell in love, just
before they were eaten alive. she watched as he was eaten
alive and her heart was eaten out forever, then the lions
ate her alive, a nice dessert after the appetizer.
the followers of the god of love and even the unknown god
did not die in vain. for it is still st. valentine's day. what if christ never existed, no catholic church, it was considered more moral to take life than create it.
what would our world today be like. what if the golden rule,
was, do whatever the hell you want with your neighbor.
