hahahha, where have you been my brother?
I've got a fraternal twin and an older brother. People are always getting me and my older brother confused (usually teachers, but sometimes even friends when they got drunk... even a girl that he had been getting with at some point in time) Back to the point the two of us would tease my twin (yea we still do today...) about him being adopted cuz his pailer skin and blonde hair (which no one else in my family has)
Enlightening?
He did get left a petrol station once and it wasnt realized until we got home.

Yeah, my little sister would say I was found in a cabbage patch. Why my mum would be in the cabbage patch I have no idea. But its all a laugh, we taunt each other all the time. She's 14 and I'm 17. So, its funny.

Yes it is one of the usual things that siblings taunt one another with. It's called Sibling Rivalry and all brothers/sisters go through it at some point.

WE used to tell our youngest brother that he was adopted constantly through out his childhood he's 36 now and he really believed us as my parents could never find the birth certificates .So our dad put a stop to it bu telling brother we were all adopted and he did it for the money , now where is my birth certificate.

ROFL... my brothers always claimed that my parents bought me at St. Vincent De Paul. (kinda like a Catholic version of a Salvation Army Store) The thing of it was, I was 8 years younger than the rest of the brood, almost a foot shorter, and the only redhead in my generation of the family. Go figure.

They deny ever saying that to me, now... but they can't stop laughing while making those denials. =)

yes,the wrong baby was picked up at the hospital,we got swapped at the supermarket, the only thing is,me and my brother laughed about it,my sister who is 3 years older than me,aged 29,takes things too seriously, and gets really annoyed when anythings said,oh well,i know i've got the right mum,i'm so much like her,i've got to admit though,i said to my 11yr old daughter the other day."i'm sure you were swapped at birth" i regret saying it now,but it just came out, same as the saying "i'll give you summat cry for in a minute" when they're already crying.oh well its all part of growing up i suppose.

How strange, I thought it was just me too. My brother used to say I was adopted and that was in the 40s!!
I wasn't of course, and turned out to look like my father's side of the family.

Oh Yes! Many times especially if our parents were being nicer to that sibling, we'd say thats because you were adopted and mum can't remember the way back to the railway hut that we found you in , so we casn't return you! Many hours of agony also, weren't we horrid to one another back then?

Of course. I'm now almost 25 and my brother is 21. We still tell each other this on a regular basis.

as a joke if my kids ask how we got them we wud say that we found them in a jungle with wild pigs! just to annoy them.
me and my brother and sister wud tell our younger sister that she was the milkmans daughter.
and recently we all found out we all have diffrent blood groups. my youngest sister then sed " so i must be adopted thank god 4 that. at least i know im not related to all of u!"
