i would just tell him that in spite of not believing in him that i believed i lived a good life, ive never killed anyone, ive never stolen anything, or anything like that, and that i was just doing what made sense to me and that some churches like my old one hated others which god would think was wrong and then from what i understand of god he would forgive me because hes god and he would just understand.

I don't think I'd feel a need to justify not believing in him. If he is God, wouldn't he know anyway? :-p
Really, I don't ever think about if there is or isn't a God. It's just not something that is important to me. Even if someone did prove to me that there was a God, I wouldn't worship him because I disagree with Christian values.
If God were a real person, I'd certainly not be interested in being his friend and would probably be completely disgusted by what he'd be preaching. God and I just aren't compatible.

"I think that He has a lot of stuff against you"
did I read your comment correctly.
That's blasphemous.
You presume you can wield the wisdom of god.
That somehow you have the divine ability to know god's will and levy out his judgement unto your brothers and sisters.
Why would you do that in the first place?
You are on shaky ground and I suggest you review your gospel.
Seriously your heart is full of malice when you presume to judge humans through the eyes of god.
I'm just kidding.
If I meet god I will tell him I love him and thanks for life.
I will confidently tell him that I tried my best to live sincerely, honestly and listen to my body and heart in all my actions.
Then I will ask him if he is hungry and would like to share a sandwich with me...
If he responds by casting me to the pits of hell I will still try and love him anyway (from hell) and just assume he is an old man set in his ways.

Well, if I met him I'd obviously be in heaven, since I doubt he does much slumming. Which would mean that maybe he's not such a bad guy after all. I guess what I'd do, if he asked me why I didn't believe, would be shrug and tell him that he shouldn't have given me a brain if he didn't want me to use it.

I would have lived as a good person. "He" apparently created the concept of non belief. Made some of us incapable of believing. So I fail to see how it would be our fault. If we lived as good people, that should be enough.
And if a "supreme being" existed...I would think that it would probably find things like Yahoo Answers to be silly, pointless, human things that don't matter.
How will you justify yourself when you find you followed the wrong 'god'?

I would tell him I believed in him for 12 years and then I slowly began to feel he wasn't there. I would tell him that I am not perfect and that I did what I thought I should do as a human and seek the truth. I would also thank him for music.
And assuming this is the abrahamic God, I would ask him why the hell he gave all primates a similarly busted biochemical pathway for vitamin C synthesis.

I would say, "How's it going, you didn't give me any proof of your existence while I was down there on Earth. So I decided to live my life and make decisions on my own. Next time, if you want someone to live their life exclusively to do your bidding, you might try giving some instructions other than some really old book that has been manipulated beyond recognition by overzealous people."

If there really is a God, the Biblical God, at that point, I wouldn't have to say anything. If there is an omniscient one, he would know why I don't believe.

I'd ask him why he only cares whether or not we belief in him and why he doesn't care at all how we treat each other.
If God rewards and punishes humans based on their belief in him or lack thereof, then the only feeling I have toward him is utter contempt. An almighty deity should not be so shallow.

OK, if you met God after you die, there you are, staring at Him. Either you don't believe what you see, or you are no longer an
Unbeliever. You say, "Hey! You really are You!"
