I have a Kodak EasyShare One which I'd like to recover lost pictures off of. The only problem is that my computer doesn't recognize the camera as a removable drive, and therefore no recovery program I have tried is able to recognize the camera and recover its files. Other than buying a memory card reader, how can i recover files from my kodak easyshare one? Thank you.

hi,

nowadays, you can buy certain memory cards that come with a card reader, and you can use it as a form of investment in an additional memory card, since it is always good to have backups. the memory card reader will also not require you to consume the camera's power supply, and it is a very convenient way of quickly getting the data out and reusing your memory card.

alternatively, you can check with your friends to see if they have any digital model that uses the same memory card as yours. if so, see if their camera can read your card - if it can be done, the data can be retrieved, if not, your memory card is probably damaged, and getting data out would prove to be quite tricky.
