I had protected vaginal sex with a girl which i just knew is HIV possitive. After i was told, i´m feeling all symptoms (white tongue, swollen glands, sore throat, fatigue...every thing). A friend told me if i used the condom properly, i don´t need the test. My risk was 2 years ago... Do you guys think i need the test...Are condoms 100%???

excuse my bad english, im dominican

PD. 1 MONTH AFTER MY EXPOSURE, I HAD SEX WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND SHE GOT PREGNANT (SHE AND THE BABY WERE NO REACTIVE DURING THE 9 MONTHS SHE WAS TESTED).

I very much doubt it you had low risk sex, but to put your mind at rest get a test. Only sure way of knowing. If the test scares you just think that if worst comes to worst and you do have it its better to find out now so you can start treatment, it isn't the death sentence it used to be.

the only way you can properly know is to get tested. The symptoms you describe could be from a number of different infections, as well as HIV. Contact your doctor ASAP for a test. How else can you expect peace of mind?

Sounds like you might have it. I'd get tested if I were you. HIV these days because of HAART medication, is now a chronic disease like diabetes instead of a death sentence.

However.... WERE YOU OUT OF YOUR F*CKING MIND!? YOU HAD UNPROTECTED SEX WITH A WOMAN THAT WAS HIV POSITIVE!!! WHAT THE F*** DID YOU EXPECT? JUST BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO CATCH HIV FROM VAGINAL SEX DOESN'T MEAN IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!! I HOPE YOU TEST NEGATIVE AND LEARN FROM THIS LESSON, YOU F**K UP!

*Takes a deep breath*.

Anyways, if you take HAART, you will die in about 25 years instead of 8 without treatment. A very painful death. Hopefully, for a f--ck up like you, there'll be a cure by then.
