last week we had a dance where a girl asks a guy -so i asked a guy(bob) who was a yr. older to the dance as friends-and i didnt know him well- at the dance, he wasnt dancing at all- just talking with his friends and such,so i decided to dance with my group of friends that i came with. while we were standing in a circle and dancing- a couple of guys (who are my age and i know kinda well) came over and joined us. i was dancing and talking to one of them john) and in the middle of a song he came up behind me and started dancing, i was ok with it because it wasnt anything really explicit. after he went for water, so then i looked over and there was bob, and he was dancing with girls two years younger than him and it was intense grinding. i was not really happy so i danced with john again for several more songs(but never really intense) -and also slow danced on the last one- i like john now but im not sure if he likes me,-what would you do? is what bob did wrong, was i wrong? please help

bob is a butthole. if that happened to me i'd be pretty mad that he said yes to me, but then grinded with other girls and not me. that is completely rude. if u go to a dance with a guy i think you are obliged to dance with him for at least one dance. you were'nt wrong to ask him to the dance, he was wrong to say yes. it probably woldve hurt, but at least not as much as watching him with other girls. btw i think john probably likes you

Since you say that you and Bob went to the dance as friends, then I don't think either of you did anything wrong. Ideally you should have spent some actual time together at the dance, rather than just apparently ignoring one another, but these things happen. Clearly there was no great chemistry.
Why don't you and John go out for a soda or something and get to know each other some?

Bobby was just dancing -- these days dancing is explicit bumping and grinding, butt clapping, etc... Bob was just dancing and having a goodtime. Bob may have been jealous or just wanting to give you some space -- but he came back and finished strong. Give the guy a break at least until you start dating him....

If as you say you don't know Bob well but you don't like the qualities you do know about him (like the way he was dancing), just leave him. If you think you made him jealous and that made him dance like that? Well, he chooses and is responsible for his own actions and they don't sound appropriate, and if he was jealous you don't want that either.
Try and get to know John better he sounds more respectable.

No you wernt wrong if bob wasnt danceing and talking to you than you did the right thing and if you like john tell him and see what he says to that. I think he likes you because he was talking and danceing with you unlike your "date". good luck.

not trying to be mean, but it seems to me like bob just wasnt interested in you. OR he could think of u as just friends, so he didnt want to dance with you.
you did nothing wrong, i wouldnt just stand there and let my date have his fun. this john may like you or he may have been dancing with you for fun. try flirting with him and see how it goes.
