I have just started this new relationship with a guy and at first things were great but now they have seem to be going down hill. I believe that it is the little things in a relationship that matter; a nice gesture, a kind word, stuff like that. I am not big on material things and I think that that makes it hard for him to undersatnd me. I'm not the type of girl you can buy something and make her happy. How can I make it easy for him to understand where I am coming from?

My best advice is to be overly appreciative of the small things he does, if any. If he's not big on the small things, let him go. If he only does big things, like always buying you something, that's also a definite sign that you need to find someone else. This means that you're in a materialistic relationship, not one that is based on feelings for the other person. <3

Buy him a copy of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. I think the author's name is Jim Gray.

just say this "honey. you give such wounderful gifts, and if you truely love me, you'll stop" then calmly unwrap the sexy bubble wrap from your body and seat him down to explain to him why you feel this way
