An excellent question and one I've pondered from time to time. For example, I think about the Tower of Babel. How tall could it have been? Given the construction techniques available at the time, it could not nearly match the height of the Sears Tower, or even a moderately tall apartment building. And yet, God does not muck with the language of the people building those. And what of airplanes that fly at altitudes beyond the height of the highest mountains, or spacecraft that escape the atmosphere of earth. If God confused the language of those who were getting too close to heaven by building the Tower of Babel, and humans routinely ascend far beyond that height without God responding, isn't that a change?

Thats the same question I asked a Christian friend of mine the other day when he said, Jesus was a part of God but died for our sins.
I am and still very confused about that one.
But Im hopeful that someone will come out and say that God doesnt change and since Jesus died, Jesus wasnt God.
Or something around those lines..or something that would explain it better than the egg-yolk example.
Edit: A change implies, either good or bad or something that wasnt was there before and something that was there isnt there before. If something is Perfect, I doubt it can change in the sense that its entire Being changes. But the relationship of this Being may change with the rest of the creation therefore giving you the impression that He changed.

No, but HE SEEMS TO.
What I mean is this: #1 - when first exposing himself to Adam and Eve (or Steve, whichever), he never gave his personal name, just called himself "El" or God. This is a title and should not confuse him with "El and Asherah" fame. That was another El. So, we have El, a tribal God who chose the family of Adam & Eve, then Seth to Noah to pick as his favorites.
#2 - He is now called the "I AM" God or JHVH / YHWH, better known as Jehovah or Yahweh (BOTH equally correct!). He is now not a tribal God, but the God of a Nation, Israel. He has a Covenant (a Promise) and it will be fulfilled upon the death of Christ Jesus, the Perfect Lamb.
#3 - Christ has just died, and NOW he is the (potentially) God of the World, not just the Jews. So, he has come from a family (tribal god) to National God to Worldy God. HE HAS NOT CHANGED, ITS JUST THAT HE'S ALLOWED "US" TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HIM! He's given us more information, such as his name, his laws, commandments, his gift of a ransom, etc. So, its not that HE has changed, but we have matured and over time have been given more access to more knowledge about him.

God changes and stays for eternity. He does not change in spirit if you want to call it like this, he changes in shape because he is the fluid that give life the stars, life such like we know on Earth. Stop thinking God has human characteristics.

If you mean the Christian God then yes absolutely. He went from a wrathful, jealous, vindictive, genocidal maniac of the old testament, to the loving forgiving calm ethnocentric God of the New testament. Quite a change.

The Bible says:
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
How can you argue with that and say that He does change when the cosmos does? whatever! read your Word!

God is always the same but sometimes it may seem that he changes because we change. For example, he was going to destroy the Ninavites (sp?) but when they turned around and turned back to him, he spared them for a time.
