Can a perfect God have any emotions whatsoever, given that omniscience prevents any surprise?
Couldn't he get more enjoyment from his own imagination than he would get from any event we could pull off for him?

The Bible tells us that Hell does not currently exist. It will not exist until the end of the Millennium, at which time the wicked dead of all ages will be resurrected to judgment. Then Hellfire will rain down from Heaven and completely consume them. They will not be tortured forever in fire, but the results will be eternal. They will never live again.
The belief that Hell is currently burning with the wicked being tortured by a sadistic red devil with a pitchfork does not come from the Bible. It comes from ancient Greek and Roman mythology. It was handed down to the Catholic Church, who handed it down to the Protestants. Such a belief contradicts the idea of a loving and just God, and it also means that sin is more powerful than God! This belief goes hand in hand with the doctrine of the Immortal Soul, which is unscriptural. The Bible says that "God alone hath immortality". It also says "The wages of sin is DEATH" - not "eternal life in Hellfire"! The only people who will receive eternal life of ANY kind are those who are saved and in Heaven.

Judaism doesn't profess the idea of an eternal hell with people suffering forever. This is exclusively a Christian idea that is based on its historical borrowing of ancient faith- i.e. Mithraism.
The soul of a person will continue to undergo correction until it reaches and elevated level. The consciousness of a wicked person is not necessarily connected to the soul and such a consciousness will simply cease to exist.

God does not cause, allow or enjoy sufferings by people who are being burned alive--this is a man-made doctine which really brings reproach on God's holy name and character. (See Jeremiah 7:31).

God is merciful but also just. He cannot allow evil to prosper forever thus when his judgment is made, it is good.
His delight is not suffering but men were not called to sin continously without any change of heart.

If like I said in my question about malevolent design, one assumes there's one an omnipotent creator, then he would have to.
But, I don't believe in any omnipotent creators...or Gods like that.
