It's because they don't know or understand Him, and so they try to put Him on their level so they have some understanding of who He is..

Why do so many of you quote the Old Testament when you want to show something about God, and then don't follow the 613 commandments of the Torah? The Bible says, "I am God. I do not change" and ever single one of those commandments has a disclaimer on them that says "this shall be an everlasting commandment throughout all your generations."

Why do you make your god into a man? Why do you not make it a point to understand judaism if you're going to use their religious texts?

The Lord works in mysterious ways, right?

He's also invisible, had a son who died, and flew up to heaven, and magically controls everything.

Ah, it all makes sense now.

When you say "God is love," the "love" you have in mind has nothing to do with what we mortals think of as love: selflessness, kindness, etc. That explains why your "loving" God burns sinners forever in a fiery Gehenna.

Why do so many of you keep thinking that because he's God makes him beyond our moral system? Banishing people to eternal hell for mortal, and thus finite, crimes is insane, evil, and frankly stupid. Whether he's God or not, this is stupid.
