First off, get used to it. Cheating has always been a part of racing. Unless you know and fully understand the Nascar rule book and can build a Cup car yourself, I think you should learn a little more about this sport. They have pre race inspection for a reason. There is nothing new going on at Daytona except for the amount of crew chiefs going home - now that's new. I will agree that Waltrip should know better. What does he think he was doing? Stupid move. Nothing to gain, tons to lose.

I am tired of the cheating. Last year Knaus did it and Jimmie Johnson wont the damn race. If you get caught cheating you should be sitting at home watching the race, not running around the track. I do agree with the 100 points Waltrip lost, $100,000 fine, and the 100 owner points lost. But they should still suspend the driver from the race also. This goes for all drivers......even my favorite - Dale Jr.

let's go back to the old way of racing? get real, the old way and the new way are exactly the same. you don't think they cheated back in the old days? darrell waltrip once said he had a secrect compartment on the undercarrage of his car that held thousands of bb's to weigh down the front end of the car. when the race was over, he would pull a lever to open the compartment, and release all of the bb's out onto the track so there would be no way to get busted. tired of the drama? drama is what makes sports so great.

I'm sure everyone tries to cheat sometimes but that doesn't make it right. I think part of it is cars having to compete with multi-car teams. Michael Waltrip just isn't any good period so I can see him stooping to cheating. I agree with some of the others, cheaters shouldn't be on the track-they should be home watching

The old way of racing was cheating as much as you could get away with. It was worse before, but Bill France Sr used to handle all of the rules infractions quietly, behind closed doors. The sport has cleaned up considerably lately, but it looks like there is more cheating going on because more people are getting caught. We should really commend NASCAR for policing itself as well as it is.

I agree, Nascar use to be exciting to watch. Now its too much bullshit. They are too strict. Cheating is a part of nascar. Crew chiefs are always looking in the grey area to find a faster way around the track. I'm sick of Nascar altogether.

Technically it's not cheating. It's 'unapproved modifications'.
The teams 'cheat' because there is so much money involved and want to get the slightest edge on the opponent. Unfortunately, the driver usually doesn't know his team did and is usually thought of as the 'cheater'.

Oh Heck!i tottlay agree... like when i was watching that one race whith ricky bobby and the french man......there was all that cheating going on with that one girl that wasn't even very pretty. I think that all the racers should respect one anothers woman and leave them alone, so that we can all just sit in our trailers sippin lemonade and watch the races.Garsh danggit
