I hate back talk and both my sons do this to me... I have threaten to take things away to get them to stop... there has to be an easier way?

If you have threaten then I hope you have followed thru with it. Otherwise, they won't take it seriously. Have you tried positive reinforcment. Give them a poker chip every time they do something good and add the poker chips up for a wonderful award, when they sas back make sure you don't fall into it and ignore it. Ignoring it will bore them.

I don't know how old your sons are but I'd give them a pop in the mouth - who do they think they are talking to??

Why not slap his mouth. I am NOT talking like knock his head off or make him bleed, just a little slap to his mouth. If you don't do something it's only going to get worse.

take things away and stick to your guns. if they sass you take video games, tv radio clothes whatever it takes.once their bedroom becomes bare walls they will start to rethink things this works

my mom used to smack me.. i was a little sassy a**, and she would give me a whap...i learned to listen fast..
