Everyone has there own preferences on how there mate is going to look. Not everyone likes the same type of look. And just because you think someone is "good" looking doesn't mean that I will think the same....Make sense?

Have you ever heard of the phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover??" well, sorry to tell you, but no one listens to that. (except the late mother teresa) People are judged on appearance because it's the first thing you notice. It's not until later you find who that person really is; on the inside. if a guy dressed in baggy, dirty clothes approached you and asked for your number, would you give it to him?? (he also smells and has a nasty beard) or would you rather give your number to a guy dressed in jeans and a nice shirt who was clean?? same concept applies to job interviews, dates, school, rumors.. etc... it's called first appearance and first judgement because it's the first thing you notice.

It shouldn't matter what a person looks like, it's what is in the persons heart, personality, likes, dislikes, personal hygiene, etc... Sometimes we choose people by the way they look, but those relationships end up in divorce or breakup.

Humans are visual creatures, and some people are quick to judge others on appearance only, without bothering to get to know them...it's a character flaw.

just of matter of taste, both people have to have chemistry between each other to like each other physically and mentally i believe. so with all the media .. a person who is thin and attractive has a much better chance in this world in hooking up with someone they like

Because people are judgmental. If a girl is "ugly" according to the guy maybe she is dressing unactractively. So, if she is dressing the way she feels comfortable, they are rude.

i know, i can't imagine why someone would judge like that. i guess they're just shallow, or making up a lame excuse not to go out with her. maybe he doesn't like her for another reason.
i wouldn't dislike someone just for looks unless i somehow happen to meet someone running around swinging a bloody chainsaw.
