My dad has a 03 half ton quad cab. he got the 4.7V8 he gets between 12 and 13 and he drives 100 miles a day but there is plenty of room for the passengers. He had a porblem with air leaking out of one of his tires but they got that fixed from what I know my uncle works at Dodge. He says that he would like to have more power but then again he doesn't want to pay more in gas because they did not have the fuel saving MDS for the hemi when he got his. he has had transmission problems but the dealer fixed them free of charge without hassle so we are overall very happy with the truck.

You know something? I'm not here to do any Dodge Bashing or Ford Bashing bla bla bla... but I WILL give you my honest opinion because I've owned a dodge ram...

Get the V8 if you go Dodge.

Anything less will be WAY UNDER POWERED and quite frankly I found my ex-F-150 to be much more adequate.

The room is great in it yes.. no question about it. You'll have no troule placing items in the cab of the truck as well as the bed, obviously.

go with the cummins diesel in a 2500 or 3500 dodge. I have a customer right now with a 1992 dodge 250 with a cummins turbo diesel. he has 500,000 miles. Plus the new cummins have 100,000 mile warranty. power stroke??? come on.

Try a Ford. Seriously. F-150 ( Ha ha leave the Dodge sitting there) Drove both and i liked the Ford the best.
